Arrive at Nanaimo (via ferry from Vancouver or airport). You'll be greeted by your tour guide and transferred on a breathtakingly scenic drive through ancient rainforests to the charming communities of Tofino , at the edge of Pacific Rim National Park Reserve. Late in the afternoon you'll be able to Settle into your eco-friendly accommodation, with easy access to local stores and eateries. Your hosts will share insights about the community, its Indigenous history, and sustainable living in this UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

Day two of The Wildlife Watching on Vancouver Island :Black Bear Watching in Clayoquot Sound

Rise early for an exciting 2.5-hour Zodiac boat excursion in Clayoquot Sound, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve teeming with biodiversity. Board a sturdy Zodiac vessel equipped with survival safety suits and observe black bears foraging along the shoreline from a respectful distance. Your guide will provide explaining the ecological importance of this habitat. Spend the rest of the day exploring Pacific Rim National Park Reserve. Choose from a variety of activities, including: Hiking: Trails like the Rainforest Trail or Schooner Cove, suitable for all ages and abilities, offer stunning views of old-growth forests and rugged coastlines. Water Activities: Try sea kayaking, paddleboarding, or surfing in the Pacific Ocean, with rentals and lessons available from licensed operators. Beach Relaxation: Unwind on secluded beaches like Long Beach, perfect for swimming or relaxing in a hammock while kids explore safely. Towards the evening we will have dinner at a local restaurant featuring West Coast cuisine, followed by a discussion of the day’s sightings and the importance of ethical tourism.

Enjoy a full day of self-guided exploration along the Wild Pacific Trail in Ucluelet, a network of easy-to-moderate paths offering panoramic views of the rugged coastline. Highlights include: Lighthouse It's a beautiful, easy, and family-friendly 2.6-kilometer (1.6-mile) loop trail that takes you along the rugged, windswept coastline of the Ucluelet Peninsula. The main highlight of the loop is the Amphitrite Point Lighthouse, which stands as a historic sentinel over the treacherous waters. than we will head towards long beach , leisurely stretch of coastline in Tofino, ideal for beachcombing or relaxing. Your guide will provide maps and recommendations while ensuring all activities comply with park trail regulations to protect sensitive ecosystems. Savor a farewell dinner in Tofino ,reflecting on the natural beauty and wildlife encounters of the past days.

Day four of the Wildlife Watching on Vancouver Island :Departure & Optional Quadra Island Extension

Bid farewell to the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve after a hearty breakfast. Your guide will provide recommendations for continuing your adventure, including a suggested visit to Quadra Island (not included) for orca watching with licensed operators adhering to Marine Mammal Regulations. Then transfer back to Nanaimo Airport or BC Ferries terminal for your departure, leaving with unforgettable memories and a deeper appreciation for Vancouver Island’s commitment to wildlife conservation.
