The TD Victoria International JazzFest, also known as JazzFest International, is a ten-day international music event featuring the jazz, blues, and world music of local, Canadian, and internationally celebrated musicians. The TD Victoria International JazzFest is known as the “grandfather” of music festivals having audiences in Vancouver and the Gulf Islands region; however, for 2021, this festival will be virtual. The TD JazzFest programming is comparable to much larger festivals, a broad scope of programs that is only seen in significantly larger urban areas. The Victoria Jazz Society is the festival organizer and has been presenting and producing it since 1985. Jazz Festivals Canada supports festival producers such as the Victoria Jazz Society in order to deliver a world-class event that will reach the record numbers of audience members every year. The TD Victoria International JazzFest is proud of bringing exceptional artists together from across Canada and providing a livelihood for musicians, especially jazz. The festival supports the vital work of musician and their contribution to the evolution of the art form itself.

This part of the town doesn’t really have much to offer except for three breweries, and few restaurants, and a climbing gym, so your best option is to head downtown. However, if you decide to stick around, here are the activities that you can do, going to one of the parks in the area, such as Selkirk Green Park and Topaz Park, and have a little picnic. You can also go on a peaceful stroll, dine in many restaurants in the area, including some international ones like Szechuan City Restaurant & Buffet and Vietnam House Restaurant. Most of the shops nearby are car stores or repairs; still, there are a few grocery stores like Fairway Market and a department store, Bed Bath & Beyond. These shops are close to society, and browsing them would be a fun way to spend time, or you can visit The Canadian Scottish Regiment museum.
