The festival is significant to the community, and you can touch the locals' passion about it. During these years, people have been trying to make it better than before, which they are successful in doing. Festival Nanaimo is such a success with great sponsors, especially the Title Sponsor McDonald's. The other sponsors and partners that have been doing their best for the event are The Port Theatre, Tourism Nanaimo, Nanaimo Hospitality Association, the Nanaimo Airport, and the Vancouver Island Symphony.
Festival Nanaimo doesn't have an exact location. The whole city is in celebration during March, and many events are available throughout the city. The list of events is available on the official website, and you can book them online. Some of them may take place with lots of changes from past years except for iconic activities like the Nanaimo Bars Trail; however, you can do that anytime you visit the city. Numbers of events happen at the Port Theatre, including concerts and great plays. The best of all is the Vancouver Island Symphony.
Other events come about in The Grand Hotel and other places in the city.
