About the Artist and Works
Martin Osberg has been painting for over 30 years. The most significant influences on his style are the land and sea around Vancouver Island and the Southern Gulf Islands, along with the play of light and shadow on buildings in Portugal and Spain. His series "Impressions of Iberia" began during a one-month painting retreat in Portugal in 2017 and has continued to develop up to the present.
The painted compositions included in HERE & THERE showcase these two distinct influences, featuring works in oil and acrylic on canvas, linen, wood panels, and archival oil paper mounted on wood panels. If you're exploring Arts and culture events Vancouver Island, HERE & THERE: Paintings by Martin Osberg offers a rich perspective on cross-cultural landscapes and architecture.
