Camena is a Victoria company that makes self-guided audio tours of Vancouver Island. You download a tour to your phone in the Camena app, then walk, bike or drive the route, and each story starts by itself as you reach the place. You can keep your eyes on the road or trail and your phone in your pocket. The stories are researched place by place, and every tour plays offline, so it works with no signal on the Malahat or along the Galloping Goose. Each tour plays in eight languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese.
