The Soul of Vietnam Festival is set to return to Victoria’s Inner Harbour this summer, bringing a full day of food, performances and cultural programming. The event will take place on Aug. 16, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Ship Point, following a strong debut last year that drew thousands of attendees. Organizers say the festival aims to celebrate Vietnamese culture while creating a welcoming space for the broader community. This year’s event will feature food vendors offering Vietnamese and local cuisine, live performances, an international fashion show, and a children’s activity zone. With support from the City of Victoria, the festival will remain free and open to the public. Local businesses are also returning to support the event. Lien Ho, owner of Saigon Char-Broil, said the festival plays an important role in connecting younger generations to their heritage. “It’s important to keep Vietnamese culture alive in Canada,” Ho said. “Events like this give people a chance to rediscover who they are.” For more details, including the full schedule and vendor lineup, visit soulofvietnam.ca . Applications for vendors, sponsors and performers are now open.
