Kyuquot Sound is located on North Vancouver Island. It is south of Brooks Peninsula and north of Nootka Island. Kyuquot Sound is only accessible through the Fair Harbour on the eastern shore of the sound. The nearest community is Zeballos.

The hottest days are usually experienced in July and August, and the coldest weather is in November, December, and January. By the start of the year, the precipitation declines until July, when it reaches a minimum. The rainfall then increases with an upward trend.
