The Nanaimo Global Film Festival (NGFF) started in 2005. It is a stop for the Traveling World Community Film Festival, which benefits from being with the World Community Development Education Society in Courtenay.
The films are made to celebrate activism and give hope and honour the actions of ordinary people. To admire those who are brave enough to find a way to a sustainable world by daring to confront global forces with the strength of their will and vision.
The Nanaimo Global Film Festival Group works are about peace and social justice. These people are interested in screening high-quality films about the situation of the world and the Canadian context. Members of the NGFF believe in making a better world and raising the people's knowledge for a change.
