Mount Cain Ski Resort is a snow-capped location on the northern part of Vancouver Island. It is about 130 km (80.7 miles) northwest of Campbell River city and is surrounded by snow, suitable for winter activities. Mount Cain Ski Resort boasts a wide range of snowboarding facilities, offering the optimal condition for winter activities. This skiing resort has 21 runs and a renowned 1499 vertical feet of terrain. Skis, poles, helmets, and boots are rented near Mount Cain and are available at nearby ski shops. Adventurers can rent a pair of snowshoes and seek the spectacular trails around Mount Cain.
Mount Cain is accessible via Highway 19, located south of the Woss turnoff. Driving approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour northward from Campbell River, there are the blue highway signs of Mount Cain and Schoen Lake Provincial Park. Going further to the Woss, there is a gravel road to Mount Cain. There is also a route from the north side of Vancouver Island, located near Port McNeill, with a 50-minute journey.
