This September, immerse yourself in a transformative experience at the Advocacy Through the Arts – Film, Cellist Performance, and Eco Fair, a standout event in the Culture Days 2025 lineup on Vancouver Island. What to Expect at Advocacy Through the Arts

Be part of a special screening of STAND, a powerful documentary highlighting the efforts to protect BC’s Great Bear Rainforest and coastline. Discover how communities are taking action against fossil fuel tankers and pipelines, and learn how you can contribute to local conservation efforts.
Experience the enchanting sounds of The Sidewalk Cellist, performing selections from her Orca Tour and album Pacific Rain. Her music provides a reflective soundtrack to the pressing environmental issues explored during the event.
Engage in hands-on activities that promote sustainability and environmental regeneration. The first 75 registrants will receive a native berry bush, courtesy of Streamside Native Plants and funded by the Ocean Wise Ocean Action Grant.

Who Should Attend

Students, educators, youth, families, seniors, conservationists, artists, and anyone passionate about protecting Vancouver Island’s natural beauty. The event combines learning, art, and advocacy for meaningful action.
