The Forbidden Gravel Experience 2025 takes place on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Cumberland Village Park on Vancouver Island. As the final stop of the TREK BC Gravel Series, this event attracts gravel cyclists of all levels to tackle scenic yet challenging routes through the Comox Valley and surrounding forest roads.

The Routes

Experience three sculpted courses—designed for gravel bikes—through private forest roads and sweeping Vancouver Island landscapes:
  • Impulso (~51 km) – Shorter, punchy terrain
  • Intermedio (~73 km) – Mid‑distance challenge
  • Esperto (~102 km) – The full-day epic

Routes may be fine‑tuned closer to race day—check final maps online
Categories include Open (ages 19–34), Youth (13–18), Masters (35+), plus special divisions for e‑Bikes and Vintage Bikes.
