Walk, Fundraise, and Transform Sooke’s Community

This September, The Grand Parade 2025 will turn a simple Saturday stroll into a celebration of generosity, community, and hope. Imagine teams of friends, families, and neighbours gathering along Sooke Road, each step echoing with purpose, each cheer lifting spirits, and every dollar bringing the Sooke Gathering Place closer to life. On Saturday, September 20, 2025, join walkers, discover the teams leading the charge, and be part of a movement that shows what a community can achieve when hearts come together.

What: The Grand Parade 2025—Sooke (family-friendly fundraising walk for seniors’ programs)
When: Saturday, September 20, 2025 (Check-in 10:00 am; Send-off 11:00 am; Light meal at noon; Wrap 1:00 pm)
Where: 6660 Sooke Road, Sooke, BC V9Z 0A5 (Start/Finish)
Host Charity: Sooke Region Communities Health Network (SRCHN)—raising funds toward the Sooke Gathering Place senior-youth community hub.
Fundraising Goal: $25,000 for Sooke; progress (as of Aug 19, 2025): 9% – $2,340 raised.

All Are Welcome

Walk in the Main Event or fundraise and walk off-site anytime in September if you can’t attend on the day.

Perks for Fundraisers

Raise $150+ (adult) or $75+ (youth) and earn the 2025 TGP T-shirt (while supplies last).

Event Schedule (Sept 20)

  • 10:00 am – Check-in
  • 10:45 am – Opening Remarks
  • 11:00 am – Send-off
  • 12:00 pm – Light meal (“Munch”)
  • 1:00 pm – Thank-yous (“Mosey”)

Route, Maps & On-Course Support

  • Distances: Signed 2.5 km and 5 km routes with bold TGP signage.
  • Support: Marshals, rest stop, and snacks along the way.
  • Safety: Walkers 12 and under must be with a parent/guardian.
  • Pets: Kindly no pets (service animals excepted).
  • Maps: Printable 2 km/5 km maps available on the official page.
