At Wild Stories: Youth Photography Camp, you’ll step behind the lens to capture these moments—transforming fleeting sights into images that speak. Event Overview

What: Wild Stories: Youth Photography Camp – a 4-day immersive journey into ethical wildlife storytelling through photography.
When: Monday, August 11 to Thursday, August 14, 2025, daily from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (PDT).
Where: Hotel Zed boardroom and surrounding outdoor locations in Tofino, BC—with fieldwork along shorelines, forests, and a day on the water.

What You’ll Experience

Under the guidance of Sam Rose Phillips—renowned photographer, filmmaker, and poet—participants will:

  • Master camera basics, composition, editing, storytelling ethics, and trail camera use
  • Engage in both indoor sessions and hands-on outdoor shoots along Clayoquot Sound
  • Enjoy expert insights through guest speakers and a boat tour on day three
