Telegraph Cove is part of the Broughton Strait on Vancouver Island's northeast coast. Known as a major summer destination, Telegraph Cove is the paradise of kayakers, boaters, anglers, and whale watchers. It is the start point of most kayaking trips, leading you to Broughton Archipelago and the Johnstone Strait kayaking adventures.
Telegraph Cove is one of Vancouver Island's historical areas where life dates back to 8,000 years ago.
Kayakers may have the chance to visit the Whale Interpretive Centre and North Island Discovery Centre. Diving, swimming and fishing are other hobbies traced in Telegraph Cove's sheltered waters. There is a wilderness area known as Broughton Archipelago Marine Provincial Park, which constitutes several small islands and inlets. The remote and undiscovered islands of the park provide an exclamatory kayaking experience.
Telegraph Cove, located on the eastern coast of North Vancouver Island, is accessible from Port McNeill via a 26 km (16.1 miles) drive. Turning from Island Highway to Beaver Cove Road, Telegraph Cove is 200 km (124.2 miles) north of Campbell River city.
