Broughton Strait Campsite, set in a coastal rainforest, is an ideal place for camping. The road to the campground is gravel and is in good condition. The Broughton Strait Campground offers tent and RV sites with facilities provided for campers to have a pleasant time camping. The RV sites are full-serviced, and bear boxes are provided in tent sites with a picnic table and fire pits on every site. The sites are close together and quiet most of the time. The beautiful campground is on the edge of Port McNeill with grass and level sites.
With just a short easy walk, campers can get to the town through the trail. It takes 5 minutes through trails for campers to get to the town, and by road, it is about 8 minutes. Groceries and shops in the nearby town provide anything campers require.
A variety of wildlife and fish species can be found in the forest, making the campground wonderful. While spending time camping there a lot of marine activities are available, from fishing to whale watching. Also, a full-service harbour provides kayaking and boating for campers.
Located in the Port McNeill community, Broughton Strait Campsite is on the north of Vancouver Island. The town's access to the campground is within trails or the road with just a short walk. The Broughton Strait's nearby campgrounds to the south are Alder Bay RV Park & Marina 13 km (8 miles), Telegraph Cove Marina & RV Park 19 km (11.8 miles). Marble River Campground is 25 km (15.5 miles) to the north-east of Broughton Strait Campground. Several lakes encircle the park. Roselle Lake, about 10 km (6.2 miles), and Thiemer Lake, 12 km (7.4 miles), are located south of the campground. Keogh Lake and O'Connor Lakes are about 12 km (7.4 miles) to the west and are Misty Lake 12 km (7.4 miles) and Beaver Lake 16 km (10 miles) to the north of Broughton Strait Campground. Robinson Park is the nearest park 1.5 km (0.9 miles) to the northeast.
