Cape Scott Provincial Park is a rugged coastal wilderness established in 1973 on Vancouver Island's northwest tip. Camping in Cape Scott Provincial Park Campground with lovely beaches would be great. The park's name is after Cape Scott Lighthouse that has guided seamen since 1960. Visitors can access sea stacks in Cape Scott Provincial Park at low tides. Cape Scott Provincial Park consists of remote scenic beaches with a gorgeous ocean view. Some excellent beaches are Lowrie Bay, Guise Bay, San Josef Bay, Nissen Bight, Experiment Bight, and Nels Bight. The most significant of these beaches, one of the most popular beaches for camping, is Nels Bight Beach, 2.5 km (1.5 miles) long and 230 meters (754.5 ft.) wide.
You would enjoy camping at Laura Creek Campsite, Shuttleworth Bight Campsite, Cape Sutil Campsite, Nahwitti River Campsite, Skinner Creek Campsite, San Josef Heritage Campsite, and Erik Lake Campground. Random wilderness camping is possible, so the only facility is food caches at Guise Bay, Nels Bight, San Josef, Nissen Bight, and Eric Lake.
Nearby fishing village, Winter Harbour, southwest of the park, offers RV campsites, tourist facilities, and an outpost.
The only access to Cape Scott Provincial Park is through hikes. The park enjoys excellent trails, mostly through a thick coastal rainforest with muddy trails, and you should be prepared for wet weather. From the trailhead to the lighthouse, a beautiful trail (about 20 km - 12.4 miles) is to Cape Scott that would be worth trying.
Since Cape Scott Provincial Park is a wilderness area, come full packed. Nearby tourist facilities are located in Port McNeil, Port Alice, Port Hardy, and Holberg, with limited accommodations that require pre-reserve. On the southeast of the park, Cape Scott Parking Lot is located near the Cape Scott Trail. Different activities are possible in Cape Scott Provincial Park as kayaking and canoeing, especially in San Josef Bay.
Cape Scott Provincial Park Campground is located on North Vancouver Island. The nearby town and regions are Port McNeil, Quatsino Sound, Holberg, Port Hardy, Winter Harbour, and Port Alice. Some nearby lakes to its south are William Lake and Heimra Lake (closer to the park), Ludvig Lake, Rannell Lake, Lake of the Mountains, Nahwitti Lake, and Georgie Lake. The park is encircled by Lanz Island, Scott Islands, Hope Island and Nigei Island. Rivers around are the San Josef River on the south side of the park, Rasmus Creek, the Fisherman River, Laura Creek, and the Nahwitti River located on the north side.

It experiences the coldest months in January, February, and December with a maximum temperature of 6°C (43°F) and a minimum temperature of 2°C (35.5°F). The warmest month is August, with a maximum temperature of 15°C (59°F) and a minimum temperature of 10°C (50°F). Rain falls throughout the year. The high rate of precipitation is from October to April. Snowfall is from October to April.
