Sombrio Beach is a secluded pebble beach suitable for storm watching due to big swells and pounding waves. It's very clean and peaceful where you can find comfort. You can see driftwoods and seals (sea lions seasonally) on the beach. In a rocky spot, it's interesting to see the tide coming up and going off. Seeing sea-life that is left behind from the last wave is lovable in tide pools. Whales go by regularly, which adds to the beauty of the beach sight. A waterfall which is known as Hidden Falls on the east side of Sombrio Beach can be visited. On its north side is Sombrio Creek, where it joins the Ocean. Due to the powerful winds and robust waves, Sombrio Beach is a paradise for surfers and storm watchers.
