Two areas of four that make up Juan de Fuca are China Beach Campground and China Beach day-use. China Beach Campground is densely forested and well-maintained, with many lovely birds like Jays and Woodpeckers. Camping at this quiet campground is relaxing and worth spending a few serene days on. Most of the park is semi-private, and there is adequate privacy between each site.
China Beach offers seventy-eight drive-in campsites but doesn't provide walk-in sites. Just a short walk from a steep pathway, about 1 km (0.6 miles), you can get to the quiet and sandy beach. Campers even are permitted to camp on the beach. Even in chilly weather, the sand is warm, and walking would be pleasant while enjoying its seclusion and interesting sea-life as shells, kelp, etc. Watching surfers and storms in pounding-wave seasons makes your lounging time enjoyable. China Beach is clean and secluded, and you would enjoy its seclusion even on busy days due to its large area.
China Beach Campground is placed in Juan de Fuca Provincial Park on the West Coast of Vancouver Island, between Jordan River community, 3 km (1.86 miles) to the south, and Port Renfrew, 28 km (17.39 miles) to the north.

Although visiting the Second Beach to its south side is possible by a 500 m (1640.4 ft.) walk. Two nice hikes near China Beach Campground are Juan de Fuca Trail Trailhead and China Beach Trailhead.
