Cabin Point and Babbington Hill Loop have an elevation gain of 372 m (1220.4 ft). Also, Cabin Point Interior Trail Loop has an elevation gain of 277 m (908.8 ft). Types of Whales in Cabin Point

Orcas and Humpbacks:

Other types of whales and mammals:
Gray, Fin and Minke Whales may also be visible during excursions. Other creatures include Harbor Seals, Elephant Seals, Dall's Porpoise, Harbour Porpoise, California Sea Lions, and bald eagles.

Cabin Point, East Sooke Park, is located in Parkheights Dr, Juan de Fuca, BC V9Z 1B7, Vancouver Island, Canada. You can find the place in East Sooke Regional Park, south of the island. It is about 19.8 km (12.3 miles) away from downtown Sooke, to the southeast. How to Get to Cabin Point by Car

From Nanaimo:
Distance from Nanaimo: 118 km (73.3 miles) / Takes about an hour and a half.
Getting to Cabin Point from Nanaimo is via Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 S. Take Wallace St to Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 S for 550 m (1804.4). Turn right onto Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 S and drive 94.1 km (58.4 miles). Continue on Westshore Pkwy to your destination in Juan de Fuca. After 23 km (14.3 miles), you will reach Cabin Point, East Sooke Park.

From Victoria:
Distance from Victoria: 39.1 km (24.3 miles) / Takes about 40 minutes.
Getting to Cabin Point from Victoria is via Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 N. Follow Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 N to Westshore Pkwy in Langford for 16.1 km (10 miles). Go on to Westshore Pkwy to Juan De Fuca Hwy/Sooke Rd/BC-14 W. After 4.2 km (2.6 miles), continue on Juan De Fuca Hwy/Sooke Rd/BC-14 W to Juan de Fuca. Drive 16.9 km (10.5 miles) and continue on Becher Bay Rd to your destination. After 1.8 km (1.1 miles), you will reach Cabin Point, East Sooke Park.
