The Royal BC Museum is one of the most significant cultural and historical treasures in Canada. It was founded in 1886; then, the archives came in 1894. In 2003, the Royal BC Museum joined forces with the BC Archives to become a combined provincial museum and archives. Drive to the west on Pandora Ave toward Government St for 300 m (984.2 ft). Turn left onto Wharf St, and after 700 m (2296.5 ft), turn right onto Government St. Continue for 250 m (820.2 ft) and turn left onto Belleville St. Destination will be on the right. After 110 m (360.8 ft), you will reach the Royal BC Museum.

Getting to the Royal BC Museum from Nanaimo is via Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 S. It is 111 km (68.9 miles) and takes about an hour and a half.
Take Wallace St to Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 S for 550 m (1804.4 ft). Follow Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 S to Belleville St in Victoria and drive 111 km (68.9 miles). Turn right onto Belleville St, and the destination will be on the left. After 77 m (252.6 ft), you will reach the Royal BC Museum.
