The fastest route from downtown Victoria to Miniature World is Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 S. It is 800 m (2624.6 ft) and takes about 3 minutes.
Start your way to the south on Broad St toward Johnson St. After 94 m (308.3 ft), turn left onto Johnson St. Continue for 95 m (311.6 ft) and turn right at the 1st cross street onto Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 S. After 550 m (1804.4 ft) turn right onto Humboldt St. Destination will be on the left. After 68 m (223 ft), you will reach Miniature World.
From Nanaimo:
Getting to Miniature World from Nanaimo is via Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 S. It is 111 km (68.9 miles) and takes about an hour and a half.
Take Wallace St to Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 S for 550 m (1804.4 ft). Follow Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 S to Humboldt St in Victoria and drive 111 km (68.9 miles). Turn right onto Humboldt St, and the destination will be on the left. Continue 68 m (223 ft) more to reach Miniature World.
George Devlin opened the attraction in the Empress Hotel in 1971. He thinks the reason Miniature World has endured and remained interesting for more than four decades is "it appeals to the child in all of us."
