Spiral Beach is one of the best beaches in Victoria, with access to many facilities in the city. Getting to Spiral Beach from Nanaimo is via Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 S. The whole route is 113 km (70.21 miles) and takes about an hour and a half.
Take Wallace St to Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 S for 550 m(1804.4 ft). Follow Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 S to Dallas Rd in Victoria and drive 112 km (69.59 miles). Continue straight onto Dallas Rd, and after 850 m (2788.71 ft), you will reach Spiral Beach.
From Victoria:
The fastest route from downtown Victoria to Spiral Beach is Douglas St and Dallas Rd. It is 3.1 km (1.92 miles) and takes about 7 minutes.
Head south on Broad St toward Johnson St and continue for 94 m (308.399 ft). Turn left onto Johnson St and after 95 m (311.6 ft), turn right at the 1st cross street onto Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 S. Drive 2 km (68.35 miles) and turn left onto Douglas St. After 110 m (360.8 ft), continue straight onto Dallas Rd. It takes 850 m (2788.71 ft) more to see the beach on your right side.

1. Trans Canada Trail: Victoria point-to-point trail with 819 m (2687 ft) elevation gain and 42.3 km (26.3 miles) length
2. Dallas Rd/Spiral Beach with 8.36 km (5.2 miles) of length and 59 m (311.68 ft) elevation gain
3. Duck ponds/Dallas Rd loop with 4.79 km (2.9 miles) length and 37 m (121.39 ft) elevation gain
4. Ross Bay/Clover Pt/Cook St loop with 5.31 km (3.3 miles) length and 33 m (108.268 ft) elevation gain
Spiral Beach is located in the realm of Coast Salish and is part of the Songhees Nation. The people of Songhees nations are called lək̓ʷəŋən. They are outstanding in managing their rich resources and natural harbours. If you explore the city, you will find seven carvings that mark places of cultural importance. These markers depict spindle whorls traditionally used by Coast Salish women to spin wool and were considered the basis of a Coast Salish family. The lək̓ʷəŋən People have been hunting in this area for thousands of years. Today the development of a modern city makes it difficult to experience the landscape that is home to the lək̓ʷəŋən.
Being near Victoria is a significant positive feature of Spiral Beach. There are many parks, museums, and different clubs nearby.
