The Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, also known as AGGV, is an iconic art museum in Victoria. It is home to artworks from talented artists in Canada and Asia, and its contribution to art is significant. The building complex of the gallery includes the Spencer Mansion and the exhibition galleries.
The institution was founded in 1946. Its first location was in a smaller building, and later it was renamed to the current name, Art Gallery of Greater Victoria when it relocated to the Spencer Mansion. Drive to the south on Broad St toward Johnson St for 94 m (308.3 ft). Turn left onto Johnson St, and after 950 m (3116.8 ft), turn right onto Cook St. Continue for 290 m (951.4 ft) more and turn left at the 3rd cross street onto Fort St. After 550 m (1804.4 ft), turn right onto Moss St. Destination will be on the right. After 140 m (459.3 ft), you will reach the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria.

Getting to the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria from Nanaimo is via Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 S. It is 113 km (70.2 miles) and takes about an hour and a half.
Take Wallace St to Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 S for 550 m (1804.4 ft). Follow Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 S to Fort St in Victoria and drive 111 km (68.9 miles). Continue on Fort St. Drive to Moss St, and after 1.3 km (0.8 miles), you will reach the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria.
The first building component was made in 1889, and the current one in the mid-20th century. The institution was founded in 1946; it was called the Little Centre, located in downtown Victoria. In 1951, the institution was given the Spencer Mansion, so it moved to the neighbourhood of Rockland, where it currently is.
