Pacheedaht Beach is formed by the San Juan River at the south end and the Gordon River at the north end, making an estuary worth exploring and kayaking. San Juan River Estuary Ecological Reserve is a protected area with many species of waterfowl and river otters, black bears and deer and a suitable place for paddling. During the camping season, Pacheedaht Beach offers a camping area. Besides kayaking, visitors have the chance to view Big Trees, such as the San Juan Spruce, the Red Creek Fir, or the Harris Spruce. Botanical Beach at the west end of Juan de Fuca Provincial Park is one of the best tidal areas with a unique ecosystem. Except for paddling, Pacheedaht Beach offers other activities such as fishing, hiking, surfing, swimming, and camping.
