Situated on Port San Juan, which is named by a Spanish explorer, Manuel Quimper, the San Juan Bay is a place for surfing and windsurfing. Drive two hours to the West Victoria, and then you see the Port Renfrew community on the west coast of Vancouver Island. Port Renfrew is the western end of the Juan de Fuca Marine Trail. This place is accessible both from Victoria and Lake Cowichan via Highway 14 and Pacific Marine Circle Road, respectively.
