Kwisitis Visitor Centre (also known as the Wickaninnish Interpretive Centre) is a hot spot with a perched deck designated for storm watching, close to the Pacific Ocean's shore. Kwisitis Visitor Centre is a beautiful exhibition for the natural and cultural patrimony of the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve. Kwisitis Visitor Centre has a great view of the ocean on a perched deck on which watching a storm is possible. Storms hit the beach in winters. After the storm has passed, stroll on the shore looking for driftwoods and bull kelp that has washed ashore decorating the beach.
Kwisitis Visitor Centre is located on the west coast of Vancouver Island at Wickaninnish Beach. Wickaninnish Beach is accessible through Wickaninnish Beach Visitor Parking 600 m (1968 ft) to the north of the Kwisitis Visitor Centre.
About 7 km (4 miles) east of Kwisitis Visitor Centre is Kennedy Lake, where you can visit Kennedy Lake Provincial Park for a night or two. Lismer Beach to the south is possible to get to with a short walk about 300 m (984 ft), and about 400 m (1312 ft) near Kwisitis Visitor Centre, Pacific Rim National Park Reserve makes you feel the west coast experience.
