Florencia Bay in the Pacific Rim region of Vancouver Island is a fairly exposed beach that provides exciting and consistent surfing opportunities. Having waves with different directions, the quality of the tide motivates you to experience it even further. The usual mellow waves are so exceptional and fantastic.
The Florencia Bay is placed in Pacific Rim National Park Reserve - Long Beach Unit, near Wickaninnish Beach. It is about 10.5 km (6.5 miles) north of Ucluelet and 30 km (18.6 miles) south of Tofino. Florencia Bay is one of Vancouver Island's less populated beaches. Therefore it is less crowded during the summer season.
The other park near Florencia Bay is Kennedy Lake Provincial Park, south of Kennedy Lake, almost 8.8 km (5.4 miles).
Florencia Bay has pretty consistent offshore winds that are from the northeast. However, the ideal swell direction is from the west. It has both left and right winds.
