Deep Bay is on the east coast of Vancouver Island, north of Qualicum Beach. Together with the winter waterfowl habitat, the protected waters make Deep Bay windsurfing fantastic. Being in the vicinity of Baynes Sound, the place is also suitable for birdwatching. Swimming is also possible in the warm waters of Deep Bay Spit. Moreover, there is a golf club near Qualicum Beach, 15 minutes south of Deep Bay. There is a park named Rosewall Creek Provincial Park in the south end of the bay, home to several trees such as Douglas-fir, grand fir, and western red cedar.
Deep Bay is located on Central Vancouver Island, halfway between Courtenay to the north and Parksville. It is north of Qualicum Beach. Deep Bay RV Park can be treated as a base camp to explore the area with beautiful lakes, parks, and islands. The islands to the east of Deep Bay are Denman Island, Hornby Island, and Texada Island. Should you have time, visit Rosewall Creek Provincial Park and Bowser Ecological Reserve within a short walk. Visitors would enjoy being on the gorgeous nearby lakes such as Comox Lake to the north, Elsie Lake to the northwest, and Horne Lake to the southwest.
