Deep Bay RV Park is a family-operated and family-owned RV park and campground located in the center of Vancouver Island. Deep Bay RV Park is nestled against the sea with a bluff behind the campground that ensures its security and privacy. Seventy full-serviced RV sites, several tent sites, and one cabin accommodating four adults are provided for camping. Deep Bay RV Park also features a boat launch, TV room, fully-equipped kitchen, washrooms, hot showers, and a laundromat. The campground offers a nice marina just a short walk away with public and private moorage.
In 1950, Deep Bay RV Park was one of the most significant fishing camps. Still prawning, catching salmon, and bottom fishing are popular activities at Deep Bay RV Park and campground. Campers would enjoy seeing plenty of wildlife creatures such as sea lions, orcas, otters, seals, herons, and eagles. The beach offers nice beachcombing due to the abundance of shellfish, oysters, and calms. Amenities and groceries are provided in the community of Bowser for visitors to give all they need.
Deep Bay RV Park is located on Central Vancouver Island, halfway between Courtenay to the north and Parksville, about 30 km (18.6 miles). Deep Bay RV Park can be treated as a base camp to explore the area with beautiful lakes, parks, and islands.
The islands to the east of the campground are Denman Island, 4 km (2.4 miles), Hornby Island, 6 km (3.7 miles), and Texada Island, about 30 km (18.6 miles). Should you have time, visit Rosewall Creek Provincial Park and Bowser Ecological Reserve within a short walk. Visitors would enjoy being on the gorgeous nearby lakes such as Comox Lake 36 km (22.3 miles) to the north, Elsie Lake 30 km (18.6 miles) to the northwest, and Horne Lake 13 km (8 miles) to the southwest.
