Things to do around the Qualicum Beach Area
Many activities and great places are available in the Qualicum Beach area, such as swimming, fishing, and kayaking. Seaside Nature Park - Faye Smith Memorial Pavilion is one of them; Faye Smith is co-founder of the Qualicum Beach town; he passed away in March 2017, and this park is a memorial of him.
Lots of golf clubs with great restaurants give you the pleasure of having a good meal after exercise.
Qualicum Beach Memorial Golf Course, Eaglecrest Golf Club, Morningstar Golf Club, and Pheasant Glen Golf Resort are some of the best.
They are more than a golf course, and the fabulous view of them is worth seeing even if you do not want to play golf.
Two of the most beautiful lakes, Cameron Lake and Horne Lake, are located near Qualicum Beach. Cameron Lake is magnificent, with about 16 km (9.9 miles) distance. It offers fishing, swimming, kayaking, camping, and incredible views.
Horne Lake Caves Provincial Park
has located 31.5 km (19.57 miles) away from Qualicum Beach. Maybe it seems a little far, but it is really worth visiting Horne Lake Caves and fantastic wildlife.
Heritage Forest is a splendid forest about 2 km (1.2 miles) away from Qualicum Beach and unique to see every season. That might seem a little mystic at the first look, but it is so good for hang-out with family, adventure, and find new shapes of fungus.
One of the places suitable for dogs is Qualicum Beach Offleash Dog Park. You can accompany your dog to walk around and watch the wonderful environment.
