Rathtrevor Beach, nestled in old-growth Douglas fir trees, is one of the most popular places for camping on Vancouver Island. The Rathtrevor Beach Campground offers drive-in sites, walk-in sites, group sites, and group picnic areas. Six group sites are provided in the park with picnic tables, fire rings, flush toilets, and wash stations. 1-4 group sites are before the day-use parking area, and 5 & 6 are located in the old parking lot. RV campsites are available in the provincial park and tent sites for those who enjoy pitching their tents.
Plenty of hikes are to enjoy throughout the forest and a short walk, about 5 minutes from all campsites to the beach. The sandy beach is quiet and peaceful with gorgeous sunsets and majestic coastal mountains while the sun is shining upon it, making anyone feel rejoiced, spending a day lounging. You can see beautiful marines, wildlife, and birds at Rathtrevor Beach and Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park. Among them are seals, sea lions, bald eagles, and cute bunnies. On low tides, the beach provides a vast area for walking and playing. When the tide rolls in, perfect swimming is possible in the warm water.
