Located on Denman Island, Fillongley Provincial Park Campground is a lovely small and idyllic campground to camp for a few days. Ten oceanside campsites are provided in the campground to please tenters and RVers. The vehicle-accessible campsites are compact and close to each other suitable for compact campers. Overflow camping is available for small RVs and tenters for only one night. Reservations are for sure recommended due to limited campsites.
Nestled amongst lush green deciduous trees, visitors would enjoy excellent hiking trails with picturesque sights. A trail winds around an open meadow to George Beadnell homestead's remnants, a pioneer who settled there in the 1900s. A beautiful trail winds through the old-growth forest by a creek bearing salmon. The Fillongley Provincial Park's campground is quiet, clean, and grassy, with lovely water and forest view. Swimming is possible at the sandy and pebble beach near the campground. The park features pit toilets, a water tap available during the operating season, picnic tables at the beach for picnicking, and fire rings in campsites. The campground offers perfect salt-water fishing besides water activities such as canoeing and kayaking.
Located on Central Vancouver Island, the forested Fillongley Provincial Park offers a pleasant and lovely campground on the eastern side of Denman Island. The campground is accessible by a 10-minutes ferry crossing from Buckley Bay, which is located 33 km (20 miles) from north of Qualicum Beach and 22 km (13.6 miles) south of Courtenay.
Should you have time, visiting Boyle Point Provincial Park and Protected Area 9 km (5.5 miles) to the south of the campground would be amazing, with picturesque scenery and beautiful sights along the hiking trails to the lighthouse. 7 km (4.3 miles) to the south of the campground by the crystal clear water, Bill Mee Park is located with its excellent environment worthy of visiting, and to the north of the campground, Morning Beach Park a beautiful park where you would spend some time picnicking and enjoy walking and beachcombing at the beautiful beach.
The nearby islands to the east of the campground are Hornby Island, 5 km (3.1 miles), Texada Island, 26 km (16.1 miles), and to the south-east, Lasqueti Island is located 30 km (18.6 miles) away. Bradsdadsland Campsite, 4 km (2.4 miles), and Tribune Bay Campground, 9 km (5.5 miles), are two beautiful campsites worth camping on Hornby Island. On Denman Island, two gorgeous lakes are Chicadee Lake, 4 km (2.4 miles) to the north of the campground, and Graham Lake, 3.5 km (2.1 miles) to the southwest. Denman Island, Hornby Island, Southern Gulf Islands, and Buckley Bay are the nearby towns and regions to the campground.

Rain falls throughout the year with a high rate of precipitation from October to March. Snowfall is from October to April.
