Nanaimo Art Gallery is one of the most interesting attractions in downtown Nanaimo. In this art gallery, you have the opportunity to see the exhibits by contemporary professional artists and curated modern art pieces.
One of the Nanaimo Art Gallery's policies is to allow viewers to focus on a single theme and understand its beauty. To do that, the gallery features one exhibition at a time. Nanaimo Art Gallery also hosts lots of workshops and activities to connect people with art. The cultural environment of Vancouver Island owes a lot to the gallery. Every year approximately 225,000 people interact with art through exhibitions, education, and outreach. That is the gallery's contribution to encourage public involvement with art.
The gallery presents a growing collection of art and keeps pieces by significant artists from British Columbia. Nanaimo Art Gallery connects with over 12,500 children and school districts each year. It is an excellent step towards encouraging the children to find their talent in art. The Nanaimo Art Gallery's store features interesting, high-quality, locally made objects, which contributes to the livelihood of local artists.
Nanaimo Art Gallery is located at 150 Commercial St, Nanaimo, BC V9R 5G6, Canada. It is in the heart of downtown and close to everything downtown Nanaimo offers, which is considerable. If you are into the history of Nanaimo, visit the Nanaimo Museum. Getting a good meal is possible at The Vault Café and A&W Canada, just around the corner, and for a drink, The Corner Lounge is just across the street. Nanaimo is also a perfect city for strolling, and since there are few parks near the gallery, you can walk there.
