Mount Menzies Access Road is a mostly logging trail with a section of it through the forest. It is so challenging with a length of over 9.7 km (6 miles), and hikers who choose this trail can gain an elevation of 575 m (1886.4 ft). The trail is not only suitable for hiking, but Mount Menzies Trail is also a renowned biking destination attracting a huge number of mountain bikers from all around Canada and the rest of the world. Mount Menzies is a hard hiking trail with extraordinary climbing and descending locations. As you can expect from such elevation, it has spectacular views from the nearby area, specifically Mohun Lake and Amor Lake.
Mount Menzies is in the vicinity of Menzies Bay, which adjoins Seymour Narrows and Quadra Island north of the Campbell River city. Steep terrains of Menzies Mountain are accessible via a short drive from the Campbell River area. Getting to the trail is via N Island Hwy, east of Amor Lake.

Getting to the Mount Menzies Access Road trail from Nanaimo is via BC-19 N. It is 179 km (111.2 miles) and takes about two hours.
Start your journey by going west on Fitzwilliam St toward Wesley St for 800 m (2624.6 ft). Continue onto Third St and after 1.9 km (1.18 miles) continue onto Jingle Pot Rd. Go on for 650 m (2132.5 ft) and turn right onto BC-19 N (signs for Campbell R). Destination will be on the left, and after 175 km (108.7 miles), you will reach the point.
From Victoria:
The Mount Menzies Access Road is about 289 km (179.5 miles) away from Victoria. It takes around 3 hours of driving via Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 N and BC-19 N to get there.
Head west on Pandora Ave toward Government St and after 99 m (324.8 ft) turn right onto Government St. Go on for 1 km (0.6 miles) and take slightly right toward Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 N. After 72 m (236.2 ft), use any lane to turn left onto Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 N. Drive 104 km (64.6 miles) and use the right 2 lanes to merge onto BC-19 N via the ramp to Parksville/Campbell River. Destination will be on the left, and after 184 km (114.3 miles), you will reach there.
