Beautiful Elk Falls Provincial Park Campground (Quinsam Campground) nestled in the second-growth forest is a large private campsite near the Quanisam River and Campbell River city known for fishing areas. The park offers tent and RV sites and vehicle-accessible campsites. Approximately 100 sites, set in the old-growth forest, and 22 sites border the Quinsam River.
At the end of John Hart Rd, a parking lot is located with access to Canyon View Trail. 2 km (1.2 miles) from downtown Campbell River, walking, biking, shopping, and access to amenities is possible. By a nice hike through coastal forest, visitors would enjoy its stunning 25-meter waterfall and having a tour of the new Suspension Bridge not far away from the campground. Access to the Suspension Bridge is from the Canyon View Trail, which offers lovely sights.
The Campbell River, known as the world's Salmon Capital and the Quinsam River, provides excellent fishing for campers. Elk Falls Provincial Park Campground Location
To the west of Campbell River in the center of Vancouver Island, Elk Falls Provincial Park is located. The campground is beside John Hart Lake, and Campbell Lake is 7 km (4.3 miles) to its north. Beaver Lodge Land, a park and garden, is 6 km (3.7 miles) to the south. Deer Falls is located just down the Elk Falls Provincial Park and offers pleasant swimming.
Loveland Bay Provincial Park is 6 km (3.7 miles) to the west, and nearby parks to the east are Raven Park, Myrt Thompson Trail Head, and Nunns Creek Park. Excellent dining, shopping opportunities are provided in Oceanside Campbell River. Two café shops, Ideal Café and Nesbitts Island Café, to the east of Elk Falls Provincial Park, offers excellent food and café. Enjoy a nice meal just 1 km (0.6 miles) to the east of the park at Moxie's Grill & Bar restaurant.
