Camping in Ralph River Campground offers a bit more comfortable experience of exploring Strathcona Provincial Park. It's adjacent to Buttle Lake with camping spots throughout dense forested old-growth Douglas Fir with sites along lakes with tents, RVs, and also vehicles.
The remote campground has a sense of being in the wilderness with beautiful sights and spectacular views from several sites over the valleys. If you enjoy camping in groups, Driftwood Bay Groupsite would be an excellent choice. It features a picnic area, pit toilets, and an accessible way for wheelchairs. Driftwood Bay Groupsite can accommodate about 100 people. Onsite amenities are more than backcountry, including water pumps, washrooms, and fire rings.
There at Ralph River Campground, 20 campsites are reservable, and 55 campsites are first-come-first-serve. Several hikes are available while camping as Flower Ridge, Myra Falls, and Augerpoint Traverse trail. Several stores and amenities are provided in Campbell River city 49.1 km (30.5 miles) to the east of the campground.
Ralph River Campground is located in the Strathcona Provincial Park near the south of Buttle Lake, Vancouver Island. Love Lake, Cream Lake, and Bedwell Lake are located about 17 km (10.5 miles) to the south, and Pearl Lake has placed 9 km (5.5 miles) to the northeast.
Mt. Titus Marine Campsite and Wolf River Camp Site are about 19 km (11.8 miles) to the north. Visiting Miracle Beach Provincial Park, Elk Falls Provincial Park, and Loveland Bay Provincial Park, about 40 km (24.8 miles) to the northeast, are decent. Check out the beautiful Lupin Falls Trail 20 km (12.4 miles) to the north of the campground near Buttle Lake.
