The beautiful and quiet lakeside Loveland Bay Provincial Park was established in 1989. It offers intimate camping on Campbell Lake's beautiful shores. Camping in Loveland Bay Provincial Park Campground includes a memorable experience in a rustic and beautiful setting. Visitors can enjoy their serene time on the secluded bay or get prepared for several water activities on Campbell Lake.
Two group campsites are at each end of the park. The larger one, Group Site A, is on the right side of the entrance and has direct access to the lake; and Group Site B sets in the trees on the left side, each with picnic tables and fire rings.
Vehicle-accessible sites, some with tent pads, are available in the park for campers.
The park enjoys a boat launch, and boating opportunities are possible on Campbell Lake with access from Loveland Bay. Kayaking and canoeing on Campbell Lake are enjoyable while camping. Several stores and amenities offer visitors' requirements in the nearby Campbell River city. By visiting there, you would enjoy day-tripping nearby attractions of Gold River village, Sayward, Campbell River, Kelsey Bay and Cortes, and Quadra Island.
Loveland Bay Provincial Park Campground is located in the center of Vancouver Island near Campbell Lake. Gosling Lake is about 4 km (2.4 miles) and Boot Lake 5 km (3.1 miles) to its north-west, John Hart Lake 5 km (3.1 miles) to its south, Mohun Lake about 6 km (3.7 miles) to its north, and Beavertail Lake 8 km (4.9 miles), and Snakehead Lake 10 km (6.2 miles) to the southwest.
The recreational sites near Campbell Lake are Petite Gosling Recreation Site, Fir Grove Recreation Site, and Fir Meadow Recreation Site. On Gray Lake, visitors would enjoy having a good time at Brittany Bay Recreation Site and Morton Lake Provincial Park on Morton Lake.
The Elk Falls Provincial Park is to the southeast about 8 km (4.9 miles), and just down the Elk Falls Provincial Park by John Hart Lake is Deer Falls to enjoy lovely swimming there.
Loveland Bays Provincial Park's nearby towns and communities are Gold River to the southwest and Campbell River to its east. Several markets, restaurants, and petrol stations meet the visitors' expectations in Campbell River.
