Circlet Lake Campground is located in the Forbidden Plateau. It can be treated as a base campground to begin your adventure and explore the beauty of the area. Alpine forest, easy access, waterfalls, and lakes are just some attractions bewitching visitors and mountaineers for camping in Circlet Lake Campground.
Near Mount Albert Edward, gorgeous waterfalls are located under which the campsite lies. You can begin your adventure by Paradise Meadows trailhead heading toward Battleship Lake, Croteau Lake, and Kwai Lake. The easy boardwalk trail is suitable for families through the forest with beautiful views. Small ponds among rich meadows encircled by mountains are all making the area impressive.
The campground has 20 tent campsites. Some wooden plateau tent pads are provided on the lake, while some are off the lake for campers who need more seclusion. Circlet Lake campground offers camping near the lake's refreshing crystal clear water with shallow and deep areas suitable for swimming. While camping there, the forest surrounded by mountain peaks up to the sky makes the campground's atmosphere magnificent.
Circlet Lake campground is located in the Strathcona Provincial Park within the Forbidden Plateau in the center of Vancouver Island. The campground is right on the lake with tenting pads both off the lake and on the lake.
Circlet Lake campground can be considered a basecamp to explore Cruikshank Canyon Lookout and magnificent mountains. The heights such as Mt Albert Edward and Castlecrag Mountain with beautiful sights to camp at Kwai Lake Campground and Helen Lake Mackenzie Campground.
Enthusiasts can visit Strathcona Park Wilderness Centre to gain information about the Forbidden Plateau's ecology, where they can also provide maps and enjoy interpretive walks run by the centre.
Buttle Lake is located 12 km (7.4 miles) to the west, Comox Lake 18 km (11.1 miles) to the southeast, and Wolf Lake 15 km (9.3 miles) to the east of the campground. Upper Quinsam Lake is 23 km (14.2 miles), and Upper Campbell Lake is 30 km (18.6 miles) away, north of the Circlet Lake Campground.
All amenities are available for visitors at the nearby town and community of Comox and Courtenay, to the east about 30 km (18.6 miles). Miracle Beach Provincial Park is located to the northeast of the campground, where you can enjoy tide pools, lounge on the beach, and camp for a day or two.
Nymph Falls Nature Park, an ecological park, is an ideal place to visit. It has a beautiful forest and crystal clear water suitable for swimming.
