What if you could craft your own piece of art, guided by local artists, in the heart of Vancouver Island? This October, the Cowichan Valley Arts Council invites you to do just that at Make and Take 2025, a hands-on art-making event that’s part of the nationwide Culture Days celebration.

Location: Community Center, 2687 James Street, Duncan, BC

Admission: Free, with optional pay-what-you-may donations accepted

What to Expect at Make and Take

Mask Making

Craft your own unique mask using various materials, allowing you to explore different textures and designs. This activity encourages imagination and personal expression.

Rock Painting

Transform ordinary rocks into vibrant pieces of art with paints and markers. A fun and relaxing way to create lasting memories.

Suncatcher Crafting

Design and assemble your own suncatcher, using colorful materials that catch the light beautifully. A perfect way to add a touch of handmade charm to your space.
