A Cultural Evening of Music and Reflection on Vancouver Island
This September, immerse yourself in a transformative experience that transcends mere performance. As part of the Culture Days 2025 celebrations, One Heart, One Mind, One Voice, One Heart invites you to witness a powerful intergenerational performance rooted in Reconcili-Action and cultural truth-telling. Presented by Lila Music Centre and the Cowichan Performing Arts Centre, this event brings together Indigenous and settler artists, Elders, youth, musicians, dancers, and storytellers to create space for honest cultural sharing. Through music, movement, and improvisation, the performance explores both the beauty and the challenge of reconciliation, concluding with a community talk on racism and reconciliation, led by Elder Robert George (Qwiyahwultu’hw).

What to Expect

One Heart, One Mind, One Voice, One Heart is a powerful intergenerational performance rooted in Reconcili-Action and cultural truth-telling. It brings together Indigenous and settler artists, Elders, youth, musicians, dancers, and storytellers, creating space for honest cultural sharing.
Through music, movement, and improvisation, the performance explores both the beauty and the challenge of reconciliation. This immersive experience encourages audiences to engage with open hearts, minds, and voices.
Following the performance, Elder Robert George (Qwiyahwultu’hw) will lead a discussion on racism, resistance, and reconciliation. The evening concludes with an open Q&A session, fostering a communal experience and deeper understanding.
