Astrid Notte’s artwork is a tribute to the profound connection between humanity and nature. Born in Berlin during the Second World War, Notte’s early experiences with the forest inspired a lifetime of impressionistic paintings of coniferous trees. Her intuitive approach allows the canvas to guide her, resulting in pieces that capture the very essence of the natural world.
In recent years, she has embraced neurographica—a meditative art technique developed in 2014 that transforms intersecting lines into vibrant, stained-glass-like compositions. This method not only aids her creativity following a serious accident in 2022 but also produces immersive works like Beneath the Waves, demonstrating her continuous evolution as an artist.
