This September, immerse yourself in a collaborative art experience that celebrates the spirit of Vancouver Island. As part of Culture Days 2025, the “Oceans of Opportunity Tapestry” invites you to contribute to a community-created artwork that intertwines creativity, culture, and connection. Join us in Qualicum Beach for a hands-on weaving project that reflects our shared values and the beauty of our coastal environment.

What to Expect at Oceans of Opportunity Tapestry

Join Diane Moran, a seasoned visual artist and community connector, in creating a collective tapestry that embodies the spirit of Vancouver Island. This hands-on project welcomes participants of all ages and skill levels to contribute to a shared artwork that reflects our coastal heritage.
Under Diane's expert guidance, you'll engage in the art of weaving, learning techniques that transform individual contributions into a cohesive community masterpiece.
No prior experience is necessary. All weaving materials are supplied on-site, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable creative process for every participant.
Each thread woven adds to a dynamic, evolving piece of art, symbolizing the interconnectedness of individuals and the environment. Your participation helps tell the collective story of our community's creativity and unity.
