Willows Park is a perfect place to be in Victoria with your family. The park has a stunning view of Mount Baker and features a lovely, soft, and sandy beach, which is excellent for kids to play freely. Willows Beach is probably the most famous ocean beach in Victoria and offers great swimming and frolicking opportunities.

Going to Willows Park takes a 10-minute drive to the east from downtown Victoria. It's located off Beach Drive in Oak Bay on southern Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.
Willows Beach, which is on the east side of the park, is one of Victoria's most popular swimming beaches. Due to its shallow, protected water, it is suitable for young children.
From Victoria:
The fastest route from Victoria to Willows Park is via Johnson St. It is 5.1 km (3.1 miles) and takes about 10 minutes.
Head south on Broad St towards Johnson St for 94 m (308.3 ft). Continue on Johnson St. Take Fort St to Dalhousie St in Oak Bay. After 4.9 km (3 miles), turn right onto Dalhousie St. Destination will be on the left. You will reach Willows Park after 74 m (242.7 m).
From Nanaimo:
The fastest route from Nanaimo to Willows Park is via Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 S. It is 115 km (71.4 miles) and takes about 1 hour and 37 minutes.
Take Wallace St to Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 S for 550 m (1804.4 ft). Turn right onto Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 S and drive 108 km (67.1 miles). Continue on Finlayson St. Take Lansdowne Rd and Cadboro Bay Rd to Dalhousie St in Oak Bay. After 6.6 km (4.1 miles), you will reach Willows Park.
There is no designated hiking trail to reach Willows Park.
Some evidence of ancient settlements of the Coast Salish People from the Songhees First Nation is available. They are related to the Willows Beach area and some other nearby shores.
Willows Beach took its name from the Willows Fairground, which was built in 1891. It remained Greater Victoria's main horse-racing venue during the early years of the 20th century.
Willows Park offers excellent walking. It is a perfect place to relax with a playground for kids.
Willows Park is on the west side of Oak Bay, giving some chances for water activities enthusiasts. Uplands Park is less than one kilometre (0.6 miles) to the north of Willows Park.
Willows Beach on the east side of the park is one of Victoria's most popular swimming beaches. It is suitable for kayaking and windsurfing.
