Getting to Witty's Lagoon Regional Park Nature House and Sitting Lady Falls from Nanaimo is via Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 S. It is 107 km (66.4 miles) and takes about one hour and a half.
Take Wallace St to Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 S for 550 m (341.7 ft). Turn right onto Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 S and drive 94.1 km (58.4 miles). Continue on Westshore Pkwy to your destination in Metchosin. After 12.3 km (7.6 miles), you will reach Witty's Lagoon Regional Park Nature House.

The fastest route for getting to Witty's Lagoon Regional Park Nature House from Victoria is via Island Hwy/BC-1A W and Metchosin Rd. It is 19.8 km (12.3 miles) and takes about 25 minutes.
Drive from Craigflower Rd, Island Hwy/BC-1A W, Sooke Rd and Metchosin Rd to Metchosin for 19.7 km (12.2 miles). Turn left, and after 95 m (311.6 ft), you will reach Witty's Lagoon Regional Park Nature House.

From a thousand years ago, the Straits Salish people have been living in the Sitting Lady Falls area. Burial mounds, village sites, and other remains of First Nations people living in the area for centuries. The first European people arrived in 1790, and the park was founded in 1966.
