Baby Bedwell Lake Campground is located in the Strathcona Provincial Park, Bedwell Lake. Camping is possible in a nice backcountry campground on Baby Bedwell Lake, set in the lush forest surrounded by majestic mountains.
Your backpacking adventure starts at 250 m (820 ft) elevation. After a short walk through the challenging trail, a rather relentless climbing starts. Over 4 km (2.4 miles), Baby Bedwell Campground is located on Baby Bedwell Lake.
Nine tent platforms are provided in the campground with food caches and pit toilets. Beautiful alpine forest, perfect swimming, breathtaking view of the trail, small ponds and lakes surrounded by glacial mountain peaks are some of the area's attractions. They are enough to fascinate visitors and campers.
While camping there, you will be impressed by the refreshing atmosphere of Baby Bedwell Lake nestled through the forest and the view of surrounding mountains stretching high up to the sky. The lake offers perfect swimming in relatively cold water with shallow areas.


Baby Bedwell Lake Campground Location

Baby Bedwell Lake Campground is located in Strathcona Provincial Park near Bedwell Lake. The campground is about 4 km (2.4 miles) from Bedwell trail by Baby Bedwell Lake with a view of Mt. Tom Taylor. It can be treated as a base camp to explore the area's magnificent mountains.
The heights include Mt. Tom Taylor and Big Interior Mountain. There are also beautiful lakes such as Cream Lake, over Big Interior Mountain about 5 km (3.1 miles) to the campground, Jim Mitchell Lake about 2 km (1.2 miles), and Thelwood Lake about 4 km (2.4 miles) to the north.
Visit Della Falls in the forested area with gorgeous waterfalls.
Shops and amenities are available at the campground's nearby town and community of Comox and Courtenay.
